How Do I Get My Audio Recording to You?

Posted on 8th February 2024 • Categories: General

Confidently and security have always been at the top of my list when it comes to my clients, and I’m often asked, “How do I send my audio recording to you?” My immediate answer would be to use our upload facility, which has a protected SSL connection in place; this prevents hackers from stealing any information transferred, including personal or financial data.

Another method of sending audio recordings to us, which is becoming very popular, especially amongst students, is ‘WhatsApp’.  Having this app on your smartphone can be a useful and convenient way for you to send your audio recordings to us.  Just like Midlands Transcription Services, WhatsApp uses end-to-end encryption to keep data safe while it is transferred from the sender to the recipient. I would however advise, that you to update your security settings before using it to send any audio recordings to us.

Email is another option of sending your recordings and any supporting documentation to us.  Once again, I would recommend that you encrypt/password protect your documents and audio files before pressing the “Send” button.

But we are not done yet…

As well as the above, there are other options available for sending audio recordings to us, such as Dropbox and WeTransfer.  These are cloud-based file transfer services, which allows users to send large files securely through the internet.  There are other sites similar to these that do more or less the same thing, it’s whichever one you prefer to use.

If you would rather transfer your recording onto a compact disc (CD) or a memory stick and pop it in the post to us, you can do that as well, but I would advise you use a ‘Tracked and Signed’ delivery service, just in case it goes astray and ends up being posted through the wrong letterbox!
